We are excited to announce that Pieter Prickaerts has been appointed as the new Managing Director of M-TIBA, effective July 1st, 2023. Pieter, who previously served as M-TIBA’s Customer Success Director, has played a crucial role in laying a solid foundation for the growth of M-TIBA, our health technology platform in Kenya. In his previous role, he was responsible for making sure M-TIBA’s clients are served in the best way possible, which includes looking after account management, operations & customer service. Prior to working at M-TIBA, He was an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company and has been based in Kenya since 2015.
Pieter will be taking over from Moses G. Kuria, who has been promoted to the position of Group Chief Financial Officer at CarePay International. CarePay’s healthcare platform, M-TIBA, was launched in 2015 in partnership with Safaricom – the leading telecom company, M-PESA, and the PharmAccess Foundation. M-TIBA digitizes and automates the end-to-end health journey using a cloud-based and AI-driven approach.
For insurers and hospitals, this leads to lower administration costs and faster payment cycles, resulting in more efficient capital use. For the individual users of the M-TIBA platform, access to healthcare has become much more transparent as members manage their benefits through their mobile phones.
